@Tabby266 Halon can be breathed for a little bit at first. It just might feel like you're in high mountains but yes you can turn white and become asphyxiated and eventually go unconcious. it's also been known to cause you the worst ear infection you will ever have in your life. i also wonder what the cure is! :)

In Germany Halon was Banned too long time ago... Halon is effective, but it´s very badly for the ozone layer

That's a myth produced by the environmentalists. At extinguishing concentrations it's much safer than CO2, which will actually asphyxiate you. Halotron is also much more toxic.
Just air out the space, and don't smoke, that increases toxicity. As for the ozone layer, nobody will frivolously set off a halon extinguisher anyway, and I'll gladly use a little sunscreen if it can save a few lives.

It's extremely effective, even in small amounts.

Its been banned in the US too but we still have a few Halons on our ship.
