Uploaded by request, final scene (the suicide attempt) of Papageno in Mozart's "Die Zauberflöte" and the duet with Papagena (Ailish Tynan). Simon Keenlyside plays this character in a genius way.

  • Hey -- this Papageno's cute. I'd do him (LOL).

  • Oioioi xDDDDDDDD

  • I know, I'm out of control. All kidding aside, it's a delightful performance. I think Mozart would have heartily approved of the silliness. thanx for postin.

  • You are welcome ^^ Glad you enjoyed it!

I met him after his Don Giovanni in Barcelona. He has the sexiest British accent xD

  • @Lilith89ibz

  • @eurydike Oh, I asked him about the production of Don Giovanni he was singing in, in Barcelona :)

  • The best staging I have ever seen, of this delightful scene!!! SUPERB voice ~ and amazing acting! Mozart's sprit was definitely present at this outstanding performance. A delight all the way through ~ BRAVO!

    Thank you for sharing :o)

  • I wonder why no one has commented on Simon's acting in the "tingling here, tingling there" part (1:01 - 1:05). I actually got some tingling myself at 1:02 *blush*.

  • I love how he whistles the last time instead of playing the pan flute, as usual

  • my most most favourite papageno by far :) (not only Papageno though. so lovely. and to think how good he is in totally different roles as well).

  • High Quality indeed. ;-)

  • Very funny! A lovely earthy Papagena! Three Boys were great.
