@Ourse82Grizzli Quebec is actually mentioned at the beginning of the song...after New Brunswick
-
@Theorium What about Québec???
-
according to an email i received from Charles Stewart who is connected to Stompin Tom.com, the names in the territories didn't work for the song at that time so Tom left them out.This is the story that Charles was able to get.

Happy 75 Birthday Stompin Tom and thanks for all the great music and videos
-
I have the album, "My Stompin' Grounds" on LP at home.

First, Nunavut didn't exist in 1971, and second.... I agree, who the hell wants to go up north lol
-
First of all, I come from Quebec and I adore Canada. Second of all, he said Quebec after New-Brunswick and before Newfoundland.

no territories cuz who the hell wants to go to Nunavit lol
What about the Yukon, N.W.T. and Nunavut?

That omission was Tom's, not mine... I agree.

Nunavut wasn't created until April 1, 1999, so it probably didn't exist when Stompin' Tom first recorded the song.

And the other thing to keep in mind is that they are territories... If there was an American equivalent of Stompin' Tom and he sang a song about all the States, he would probably not mention Guam or Puerto Rico.
