It's a shame that Melinda Clarke never received an Emmy for her incredible work in season 4. Especially her work in the first episodes of the season was heartbreaking.

@xoPringleLiciousox I don't know, I think they replaced Marissa way too quickly... I mean, after they grieved for just three episodes, they basically went back to living normal lives, without even mentioning Marissa. I love Ryan and Marissa as a couple, so her death broke my heart, but I would have been okay with it if they did the grieving properly, but the aftermath was rushed through too much. & ITA! I love OTH as well, although the last two seasons have been shit :/ I miss Lucas and Peyton!

@music1luv2 Well if you think about it, it was kind of important to kill Marissa off because although everyone loved her, with her and her problems around, it was impossible for everyone else to move on.. just like she mentioned in that letter to Ryan. If Marissa had stayed, the show would still be focused on all the high school drama-drugs, sex, what not. But after Marissa died, I loved what they did to the show, how they ended it, and how it went a completely different way:)

@XshamosasX Ah, alright, I guess you have a point. for me personally, closure was the point when he woke up from that coma and talked about her with Julie after Volchok got caught. But yes, it definitely could have been more than that. I miss the O.C. so much! The show wasn't just all drama like gossip girl, 90210, etc. but it really touched on important subjects such as family, love, moving on, happiness, etc. just like One Tree Hill (ironic how they started in the same year) -do you watch OTH?

@xoPringleLiciousox Oh, I know about that, but that was such a tiny moment. I mean considering Marissa was the female lead of the show and Ryan's true love.... there should have been more about her. He should have visited her grave or something like that. A tiny flashback wasn't enough closure, at least for me.

@XshamosasX No i think for Ryan, it was at the point where he sees himself in the car again (when he first got to Newport), seeing marissa for the first time. i think it was a good ending for his and marissa's relationship :)

omg, makes me tear up everytime. Marissa never should have been killed off :(

If Marissa was on season 4 I would totally watch it! I miss The O.C. so much, I'm re-watching random episodes, it's awesome, but I know that Marissa is going to die so it sucks.

Oh god. When Julie opened that locket.... I started bawling. It was the perfect goodbye to Marissa for Julie and Summer. But I can't believe they didn't have Ryan mention her at all in the finale?! It was ridiculous.
I can't get married without Kiki! She's my best friend!
Ah I love this, and their friendship. It's great to see it progress from the first season till now :)

Haha, I knew it! It was DEFINITELY great to see Julie's progress from the first to the fourth season. I think Julie came the farthest on the show as far as personal growth. Ryan and Summer came pretty far too. I <3 this scene too! It makes me cry. Haha, that's why I uploaded it. I'm glad you enjoyed my friend! =)
