Anne Harrington of Harvard lectures about the relationship between Tibetan Buddhism and the human brain. She refers to the research of the University of Wisconsin's Richard Davidson on the brain functions of Buddhist monks during long periods of meditation, and she talks about the fascination with the Eastern style of meditation of the 1960s and 1970s counterculture.

Hosted by Center for the Study of Religion and Psychology at Boston University's Danielsen Institute on September 15, 2008.
