  • What language are you speaking? It sounds like Mongolian.

  • @mprimecoleman , How did you know that?

  • @sodoonbor I have studied a bit of Mongolian overtone singing through my studies in percussion and frame drumming. Many of the videos I've seen on overtone singing feature Mongolian singers explaining their technique in Mongolian (or whatever the proper name of the language is. I'm sorry I don't know). I must say it's pretty strange to see a cajon vid in Mongolian. Are you the one that made the video?

  • @mprimecoleman Very intresting.............. Because of that, I have made this video for Mongolian. Cajon is a strange instrument for Mongolian, but very simple.

  • but what are the strings for? o:

  • hey @KevinSolgaard24,

the strings gives the sound of snar drum.

  • how does this compare to other construction methods. I am going to begin construction soon, but the placement of the strings is something im conflicted on. some sources say to stretch the strings from the top to the sides about a quarter of the way down, while this fella has them going all the way from top to bottom at a shallow angle

  • @sorenc3612 wow, props to you for a great response! not many people as grown-up as you on youtube! peace

  • @sweavo You are right and to be honest I'm an little ashamed of my comment and I can't remember typing it...

  • @sorenc3612 aww come on. If you can read a ruler and see pieces of wood, this is a helpful video. Not all information is spoken.
