  • This video was so helpful! Thank you, I'm almost entirely prepared for my AP English Debate tomorrow on animal testing.

  • @Tezcatlipoca0047

You're putting words in my mouth. I said you value animals and humans equally, which is sick in my opinion.

You think we should stop animal testing. Animal testing saves human lives. Stopping animal testing would cost human lives...It is ignorant to say that it wouldn't.

Animal experimentation is a necessary evil.

  • @MarshalNey13 You should just stick to watching videos without trying to argue, because you can't and don't comprehend someone's point. No, I don't value animals more-thank you very much.

  • @Tezcatlipoca0047

There you have it...you see human life and animal life as being equal in value. There's nothing more to argue. I encourage to you stick by your beliefs and deny yourself modern medicine.

  • @MarshalNey13 It's also immensely ignorant and cruelty to try and justify the suffering of living beings. I am against hurting animals just as much as hurting people. If the world (as seen in history) always has escalated from ineffectiveness or a stalemate experiment, they will move on to what they know will work. Humans. In the long run, protecting animals is protecting ourselves.

  • Sure humans would make better test subjects than animals but experimenting on humans in place of animals is wrong in any circumstance because human lives are worth more than animal lives. It’s really just that simple. Fortunately animals make a good secondary choice. They’re not perfect, but they are still crucial to medical research. It’s ignorant to say otherwise.

  • @Tezcatlipoca0047

You're mixing up the so called "moral argument" with the so called "scientific argument" like so many other ignorant animal rights people. In your first post you used "ethics" as your justification, now you're saying it's ethics PLUS "ineffectiveness". Does it work vs is it moral? These are two SEPARATE discussions.

You completely missed my point about Guatemala, go look it up.

No drug can be tested on a human in the US if it hasn't already gone though animal testing first.

  • @MarshalNey13 and so experimenting on animals and "beating around the bush" by these experiments are fucking ridiculous that only cause suffering. If we found a cure and 100 animals had to be sacrificed for 100 people, I would choose the people to live. I'm not a pro-experimentation or anti, I'm a combination of both. When experimentation is 100% NECESSARY and could be EFFECTIVE then it IS extremely moral. But this shit they have done, yet, is immoral! Like cosmetics? COME ON!!!

  • @Tezcatlipoca0047 First off, fuck you. I'm trying to make a point that experimentation is immoral and proven to be highly ineffective in most experiments done for "medical" purposes. If anything, we can only learn about a cure through human experimentation-that has not only be done in Guatemala you dumb fuck but everywhere in the U fucking S because animals aren't fucking humans. I'm not advocating, I'm making a point that learning from ourselves can only be done in ourselves like science proves

  • Your comment is nonsensical and poorly thought out. What "man-made diseases?"

I believe that as long as you believe that human life is worth more than animal life then you'll be ok accepting animal research as a lesser evil. Most animal rights people know this deep down even if they buy the bullshit that it's not effective. You're the first person I've seen who actually advocates forced human experimentation. That was done in Guatemala in 1948 and you are a sick person for supporting that filth.
