Off of the album Windows. A classic cover of Freddie Hubbard's tune. A Tribe Called Quest sampled it in Sucka Nigga on their album Midnight Marauders.

  • The rhythm guitar's retro reverb effects are that little detail that makes the piece so much warmer.

  • Freddie Hubbard recorded it back in 1970. Jack Wilkins pay respect to this piece in 1973. Yep, this is the version that was actually sampled for the "Sucka Nigga" song off of "A Tribe Called Quests" album "Midnight Marauders". I love this sample. I was just listening to this on my local Jazz station here in Denver (KUVO/89.3 FM). This is a great song and their are many, many different versions of this song. Believe it or not, this isn't the best rendition. It's still fresh though.
