I went to take it apart to see if it just needed a good cleaning and saw the belt was off! Thanks so much for teaching me how to put it back on..ah..nice fluffy carpets again! :)

  • Great tutorial. I've been fighting with my belt for a week now!

I always polish my Kirby with "Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish" and elbow grease.

NEVER use scotch brite, steel wool, or window cleaner.

    Thanks, Iove helping people out.

  • @78tinelli I think you need to watch the video again and see what you did wrong.

    Thanks,

    Travis

  • thanks so much, i couldnt figure it out!! when you put the new belt on it turns so hard. thanks for sharing!!

  • @travistarpy I just bought a Kirby. Is the belt supposed to hang loose at the bottom. I just vacuumed my carpet and the belt left black marks as it brushed over it. I don't think I have the belt on properly as this shouldn't happen

  • @Moacha1913

Don't ever "take it in." Watch the videos, do it yourself and they buy yourself dinner with the money saved.

    Hey, it's on me.

    Thanks

  • @baire702

    Exactly.

When the green led indicator starts stalling it is definitely time to change the belt.

Just make it a habit to do the belt when you adjust your clocks for daylight savings time and don't forget to replace your smoke alarm batteries. lol

  • @RoyalREYES

    Thanks.

I thought it was goofy at first, but have since enjoyed helping people.
