Our 3 dogs are fed a balanced RAW diet (RMB's *Raw Meaty Bones*, organs & SOME ground meat)-- every furkid is different on what is balanced for them. The possibities for furkids(dogs, cats & ferrets) fed the RAW diet are endless(health & behavioral wise).
Our dogs are from one extreme to the other, Griz a Belgian Sheepdog is a SENIOR(YOB `96), Joey & Shelby are Jack Russell Terriers(YOB `07 - 1 1/2 mos. apart). Refer to my bio/personal info. to learn MORE on the RAW diet and Natural Rearing.

I've owned dogs all my life, I've always fed them dry kibble. They grew up healthy, engetic and lived long lives.

@Apatheticmuch
Where can I find information on this? FDA?
They would have to stop the medications pretty early because as you know toxins don't just leave the body right away.

@angelbe88: It's illegal in America and Canada to process meat that has hormones or antibiotics in it. Whatever medications that the meat animals eat are withdrawn before the slaughter date so that it can passed beforehand.

@godsfiddler
Thanks for the tips.

@angelbe88 That's not nearly as bad as what they put in kibble. The meat from a butcher will be better than grocery store meat, but grocery store meat is far better than processed kibble. Or canned dog food.

@godsfiddler
what about the hormone, anti-biotics, and all the other stuff they're putting in the meat? do you buy organic?
angelbe88 1 year ago
@angelbe88 You can get the meat at a butcher shop or at your local grocery store. Doesn't matter.
