This should provide some insight into my technique in making Total War videos. On the left was a storyboard I stiched together in December, with the right side scenes I filmed in Spring Break. The audio you hear is from the storyboard only and you'll see just how close it is to the final video. You'll also see that the storyboard also plays a large role in dicating how I set up a shot, what shot I used, and the pacing of the scenes.
Scenes you might see from:
The Admiral
Napoleon Miniseries
Gettysburg
The Last Samurai
Letters from Iwo Jima
I also know that the audio if off at the end, I tried to fix it best I could it takes a very long time to sync it right and I had already spent a day trying to sync the end and gave up.
I recognized Admiral Kolchak, A&E's Napoleon, Gettysburg, and the Last Samurai. Letters From Iwo Jima was a pleasant surprise, however. I'll have to rewatch it and pay more attention next time.
Are you considering doing more naval videos in the future? I loved the Alternate Trafalgar one. Or maybe even move on to a different historical game that could be used to make epic machinimas?

@Friendo1231 I will probably not do another navel battle, way too difficult to set up the shots, and the way the AI command ships is just unfilmable. As far as I know, Total War is one of the best games out there for doing large scale battles, so I'll probably stick to it, even though I have yet to figure out how to unlock the camera for Shogun II Total War.
