ZHANG:
Mainland China is paying a painful price for its 30-year industrial development. The state-run English newspaper China Daily reports that in the Mainland, the number of birth defects in infants due to pollution is rising, and has reached a dangerous level.

STORY:
Among the world's ten most polluted cities, five are in China. According to incomplete statistics, at least 300 million rural Chinese do not have access to safe drinking water.

The Chinese Population and Family Planning Commission says every 30 seconds a defective baby is born in China. The coal-rich Shanxi Province has the highest rate of birth defects among all provinces in China.

The Family Planning Commission says thats because of the large chemical industry in the province.

The U.S.-China Water Environment Councils chief executive He Zhe says the Chinese communist regime allows factories and enterprise to develop without restriction, creating cancer villages everywhere.

[He Zhe, U.S.-China Water Environment Council]:
The government is responsible for neglecting its duty. First of all, it pursues a high GDP. The officials promotion depends on their areas growth of capital output, total industrial output, and the gross national product. "

Wang Weiluo, an expert on China water resources living in Germany says in an interview with the BBC, that during the 30-year reform and opening up in China, river pollution has been getting worse year after year. Wastewater from industry has accounted for 70% of the Yellow Rivers sewage.

According to Bulletin of the Yellow River, a third of the Yellow River was severely polluted in 2007.

Water expert Wang Weiluo says the Yellow River isnt the worst. The Huai River is even worse, he says. Other polluted rivers also include the Hai River and Liao River.

  • This is a testament to China's ambitions for economic and military superiority at any cost. Willing to sacrafice thier people, and in some cases sacrificed litterally for the organ transplant black and grey markets.

China is enormous and her leadership has little or no concience at all. They exploit everything they can, any way they can, with complete disregard for the long term interests of China's people or the world.

China needs new leadership, leaders with a concience.

  • who cares they're just chinese anyway. Billions of them, they live like rats anyway

  • i dont think china has a chance, theres too much people in china lets pretend china had the same gdp as the usa of 14 trillion dollars they would have to make much more pollution and such resources and even with that economy they would have 100 million people living in poverty, china will always by like this... the key to success is small pop. with skills and large to medium country with resouces and industry that where people live well, exemple macau, hong kong, belgium sweden

  • Thank God for China's pollution. All of those disgusting fucked up dog and cat meat eaters deserve to die of cancer. They boil cats alive for meat they think torture makes the meat taste better. So, yes, I am happy to hear about those fucking Chinks dying of cancer. And they can all burn in hell. Please die China. We hate you.

  • @scorpiooooooh Extremely well said friend.

  • how great industrialism is. seems that isn't so. 5/5 for a looksee at the truth.

  • Other than like a Technological revolution (or great lifestyle changes) how the humanity can live for a sustainable future.

  • Of all the fattest cities in the world, Texas has like 5. But that's something to be proud of. Pollution isn't nearly as delicious.
