in '94 the IRS did the biggest investigation on an organisation in the history, and this was on church of scientology. They couldnt find anything illegal on scientology, and thats why the church itself haven't been charged with anything illegal. The only problem is when you have people inside the organisation who does criminal acts, but that has nothing to do with how the church operates, they have been declared sp and kicked out of scientology.

You've missed the part where 11 Scientologists in the US were sent to prison and hundreds more indicted for bugging the IRS and other government offices, stealing over 300 000 government documents which resulted L Ron Hubbard fleeing the US.

And other small things such as the Church of Scientology being banned in Greece for government infiltration, being deemed unconstitutional in Germany for having a fascist-like structure and indicted Belgium as a criminal organization.

@kanakaken I find it funny that churches are even exempt from taxes since the tax exempt stuff seems to have started with the Christian church. And that is clearly going against the bible which they are supposed to follow, Jesus says in the bible that you should pay taxes, but of course the Catholic Church or rather the Catholic Cult as it was back then corrupted the bible by "discovering" new things in the texts saying it was OK for them to own stuff and not pay taxes. >:(

IT SHOULD BE A PERSONAL & PRIVATE THING.

Religious houses (churches) should be limited to the size of a large suburban house, approx 50sq mtrs. All incomes & properties should be subject to tax, yep that's right, "God" should pay tax, with allowances made for charitable works. No religion should be permitted to send people door to door begging for attention or anything else, and no public soliciting. It should NOT be taught in schools except as a subject giving all religions equal billing. No book of religion should be sworn on.

Freedoms are "earned" from whom? I think we should have the freedom to speak freely.

Have u heard one person's freedom ends where another person's begins? That aside from the fact there's such a thing as the "rule of law" which dictates our "conduct." This is the case with pedophilia. I'm not sure I want to start jailing ppl for saying things in public I may disagree with or find obnoxious.

Would you be in favor of banning books, for instance, that said what u found unacceptable?
