I believe it was the early 90's at the Broadway theatre in the Bronx when one of the best assemblage of Doo Wop ever went down. When Lillian Leach started blowing this, I stood up in amazement, looked around the audience, stunned at what I was hearing. It was one of three times in my doo wop life, I can say I was awestruck at a live performance.

I count Lillian as one of my good friends. She, like so many other successful groups of the 50's went to Morris H.S. in the Bronx. Lil is still going around the country and still singing. She, in her 70's now, has not missed a beat. Great pipes.

I have the Davis 45, but not this one. Does Davis owned Jay-Dee? I'm not really sure.

the more of my 45s i look for, the more you have posted. thanx. too late to keep mine in mint condition but i don' have to worry about using up the needle on my phonograph any more. you are the best

I loved it....growing up in the Bronx in the fifties...this was one of the many records
(mostly 78's)...we listened to and danced to at the day parties (while our mothers were at work)....Smoke From Your Cigarette...has got to be one of the best
doo-wop recordings of that time....Lillian's work on this recording was truly
outstanding...what a voice....Thanks....Willie
