Prop 1D funding for Vaughn, ABC 7 - Los Angeles

On Friday, May 30, 2008 at one of the nation's leading charter schools, the Vaughn Next Century Learning Center, Governor Schwarzenegger announced the allocation of $463 million in Proposition 1D funds for new construction and modernization projects for 29 charter schools statewide. The Vaughn Next Century Learning Center will receive $6 million of the $463 million to build seven new classrooms for 189 students at the center's high school, Vaughn International Studies Academy.

well, truth is that High School is nearing over crouding, already there are cases of drug abuse ON CAMPUS, the construction company that built the High School cut so many corners that the building is flooding and falling apart. TENS OF THOUSANDS of dollars have been LEACHED by the H.S. from the budjets of other departments, prop 10 & 'stimulus' packages may have 'allocated' $ FOR 'the little school that could' but simple GREED is gonna stop that little school that THOUGHT it could... sad.
