how would you handle street fighters? is that a joke or what? scrappers just tire themselfs out swingin.... as long as ur legs dont fail u and ur chin aint made of glass u should be fine, boxings about more than just brute force, technique n skill come in hand 2

Queensborough, Shamrock are supposed to be good. I have been out of th eloop for over 30 years, so not much help. Good club is Port Kells. Get to the bronz gloves novice tourney this fall and see what clubs are taking home the metal. It used to be held in late Nov. You will need to ask a boxing club (any one) when and where this tourney is

Astoria = good club IMO George A good coach. R.I.P. ELIO, Bert Lowes, and Lindy Lindmoser
1ton go to any club and watch how the coach works with the young kids. See if he drills them on the basics. So many amateurs (and pros) today drop the right hand when they throw the left. Stuff like that is what to watch for

All you read and hear about is martial arts. Not enough boxing exposer in BC.
I'm looking for a boxing club, its the best Kung-Fu around.
