I bet that everybody has heard the song 'To be with you' by Mr. Big.
Well here's the pop-punk cover of the band Allister.

EP: Gulty Pleasures

enjoy

edit: I'm not saying this is better than the original. nothing beats the original. however some of us maybe like to hear great songs in different types of genres too. you don't like that? fine, go back to living in your little box and stop hating.

  • What allister is this? The japanese band or the one from chicago?

  • @elementX95 I know they're from the US, so probably the ones from Chicago. the record from which this song was taken is Guilty Pleasures.

  • for everyone thats mad cos this version isn't acoustic like its "supposed to be" - thats the point of a cover, to make a song sound different, to see what it would sound like in a different genre. if they played it exactly the same as Mr. Big did, then what would even have been the point of covering it? I personally think this version is awesome, as is the original

  • thank you!

good to see some people still know how to use their brains.

  • Allister is the best pop punk band ever. I guess that their music is more intelligent than many other punk rock bands

  • Tyler Wards version is better

  • nice cover \m/

  • @xmzdiegox Actually, there is a Japanese band called Nicotine who also does a cover of this song. The confusion also lies with that fact.

  • @epikkalypse There is only one Allister. Maybe you guys got confused with the japan situation because they got signed by UNIVERSAL JAPAN where they released "Countdown to Nowhere " and had to move there for a while. Hope this answer ur question. Cheers.

  • @elementX95

One of the band members is 1/2 Okinawan...that's how they are popular here in japan....

  • I love punk covers.

  • @babygrlmis Oh cool! Well yeah I think it's easier to get popular in Japan than in the States lol, agree?

  • @elementX95 they're the same Allister. They're from here (I live in Chicago) and they just got really big in Japan. But they're the same! :)

  • best cover of this song

  • great cover version.
