A segment of a 90 min Robert Calvert (R.I.P.) 1982 ineterview. This whole interview used to be available on the internet but in the past year it has been unavalable.
I have been recieved a lot of RARE Calvert stuff and will be sharing a select amount with youtube.
This video, audio, & picture montage has been created by myself in memory of the greatest man to ever live, Robert Calvert... Rest in Peace Captain, you are sorley missed by many.....

  • How can we find the whole 90 min interview/ film?

  • @mesencephalon

You'd have to find someone (like myself) who has the whoel 90 minute interview and have them mail it to you on CD, for example. I am planning on uploading the whole thing to youtube, however. So stay tuned to my channel.

  • When/where is that photo at 2:28 from?

  • @actron It was taken in 1972 during the 'Captain Lockheed' photo sessions.

  • @Hotdogjackson yeah, I saw it in two ways, once at Preston when it was spread across the stage and once in Liverpool it its full stonehenge type glory, a joy to behold

  • The set shown at 0:45 - 0:53

This was the 'Atom Henge' set used from mid(?) 1976 through to 1977

There is further documentation available if you search the net for 'Hawkwind'.

I did get to see it back in December 1976 when it was being used for the Astounding Sounds - Amazing Music tour, the Bournemouth Winter Gardens They did not use all of the set there because as I understand it the stage was not big enough.........High production values used and band/light show was stunning...even now

  • Anyone know what tour that stage set from 0:45 - 0:53 was from , looks a bit smart for Hawkwind ;)

  • I was at a concert in manchester in late 70's when he attacked the security staff with his microphone stand because they were being a bit heavy handed.

  • bob was a real one off .a great talent with fantastic lyrics .would love to have met the guy .r i p .

  • Cool beans.

  • love the guy...genious !
