Great work! I vividly remember my (very openly gay) art history teacher in college telling us tales of his life in the seminary before he resigned. i think his comment was along the lines of "what other career path for a gay man can compete with being paid to hang out with lots of other like-minded men?"

Your theory has legs - real issue may be over 'to what degree' it has attracted those of non-hetero inclination - and at what point may positive feedback have 'suffocated' the church as more of a gay club than a source of teaching. ie At what point was the church more Gay than Religious.

Is this why they don't want women to be priests? Ha ha. I think your suspicions, are probably what I have been feeling, for a long time. I knew something was wrong with those people. I was raised in catholic schools. Those people were cruel, condescending, and cold, ice cold. I ran. A friend in high school, told me that most of the nuns, who taught us, were gay. I never believed it. I was naive. Do I really want to know the truth about everything? Ugh! Great video.

This is utterly amazing. Thank you for taking the time to put this together. So many of the points you brought up were pieces of history I learned in HS and college. I had my own suspicions but could never quite connect the dots. You so perfectly illustrated it. I only wish my Christian aunt would be open-minded enough to watch this and then maybe accept my gay uncle for who he is by finally taking the Church off it's hetero pedestal.

You know, dzseff, you and I probably are not on the same page concerning sexual ethics (I'm one of those Catholic Traditionalists, who in our angst have spotted you so many sources) but I have to applaud this.

Its hilarious how people can always twist and manipulate the past to support their own viewpoint today.

The gay mafia and the protestant evangelicals are in opposite ends but both share the notoriety of reinterpreting the past that suits their immediate needs.
