1960s Brighton replaces period Italy in this riotous update of Carlo Goldini's classic Commedia dell'arte farce.

The ingeniously convoluted plot sees Francis Henshall (James Corden) fired from his skiffle band and seeking employment as a minder to Roscoe Crabbe, an East End hood in town to collect £6,000 from his fiancee's dad.

But Roscoe is, in fact, his own sister Rachel (Jemima Rooper), who's posing as her dead gangster brother after he was killed by her posh idiot boyfriend Stanley Stubbers (Oliver Chris). Got that?

But wait - it gets more complicated! Greedy Francis secures a second job with Stubbers, who's hiding from the police as he waits to be reunited with Rachel. And neither is aware of the other's presence in Brighton -- or that they're both employing the same incompetent minder!
