Raaz 2 (Hindi: राज़, Urdu: راز, translation: secret), directed by Mohit Suri, is the sequel to the 2002 super-hit movie Raaz. It will star Emraan Hashmi and Kangna Ranaut in the lead pairs taking over from Bipasha Basu and Dino Morea.

Nadeem-Sharavan, the original musical duo for Raaz, were to direct the music of Raaz 2 but recent news have come up that Mukesh Bhatt has sacked Nadeem-Shravan and replaced them with Pritam, the Bengali music director. He will now compose the soundtrack for Raaz 2 and has requested a name change. The composer says, "I have asked Mukesh Bhatt to change the title of the film. Because its going to be a huge task to even touch the music of the original. When the music of the earlier film came out it was playing everywhere. It was coming out of every taxi and every rickshaw - its scary!" now the recent news is this that Pritam has also replaced by Raju Singh.

As to why Nadeem and Shravan were replaced no one knows
Originally it was thought that Bipasha Basu would be called for Raaz 2 since she hasn't worked with the Bhatts post Jism. But later it was announced that she has been dropped and Kangana Ranaut took her place.[5] Even Amrita Rao was considered but she passed the opportunity.[6]Also the director was changed from Vikram Bhatt to Mohit Suri. Emraan Hashmi joined the cast taking over from Dino Morea

I thought this was a very good horror film in hindi which is very rare. It was based on bhagat kabir's quote. It had a lesson to learn. Yes the painter thing was taken from heroes, well scene was taken from the ring, as were the buffaloes which were deer in the ring. BUT the story was original. I would put this in a "Ghost story" category. A well told ghost story. I think we should encourage good horror movies, they r very rare n they make u think outside the box. I hope Mahesh Bhatt make more.
