Thanks for the reply! I enjoy talking about things like this so it's nice to have someone to discuss it with. :D
I'm not arguing for intent or meaning. If there is a specific meaning to a particular work, that potentially requires knowing the creator. However, I'm arguing for beauty, value and like/dislike. A work's beauty and value is still separate from the person who created it and it doesn't matter what kind of person they are. As a matter of logic, these are still two separate entities.
