3月11日東日本大震災の津波 相馬市原釜地区 TUNAMI（1）

3月11日、東日本大震災が発生してからちょうど1時間後の15時46分、相馬市原釜地区を襲った大津波の映像です。
まさかこんな惨事になるとは夢にも思わずに、ただ記録用にとカメラを回しはじめてから数分で、何十年もかけて先代達が築きあげてきた地元の風景が一変しました。
津波に飲み込まれていく車、家、建物、船、人、ありとあらゆるものが一瞬で崩壊される様をこの眼で目の当たりにして感じることは、ただ恐怖と絶望だけです。

人間では到底太刀打ちできない自然の猛威と、人間の無力さというのを初めて実感しました。

半年経った今でも、こーなったものはしょうがない。そう頭では分かっていてもやはり、心のどこかで、なんでこんなことに。もしこうなってなければ。と思ってしまいます。

この映像を見るのは私自身正直つらく、けして表に出すものではないと思っていました。
逃げ惑う人、津波に飲み込まれる船、あんなに絶対絶命の状況でも必死に生きようとしている人達の姿を、遠い所からただ撮影してることしかできなかった自分にものすごく嫌悪­感があったからです。また、津波を目の前で見た人にしか分からない恐怖感が甦ってくると思ったから。

しかし、震災から半年がたった今、この映像を今後の教訓にできる様に、資料として使って頂くのが最良だと感じる様になりました。

地震大国日本にいる私たちは、常にこの映像と隣り合わせだということを、観た方たちには本当に感じていただきたいと思います。

そして、今後このような災害に見舞われた時に、冷静な判断で少しでも多くの命が助かることを祈ります。

As if it wasn't bad enough before, but watch the wave ride in @ 7:00 on top of the existing water! That wave multiplied the misery, raising the depth, and pushing inland. Very sad!

震災で亡くなられた方々のご冥福を心よりお祈り申し上げます。

地域によっては、未だ復興ままならない所もあり、その実情を目の­当たりにすることもあって、その都度心が痛みます。

それにしてもこの動画。

最初の一波が来た時点で、彼方に第二波・第三波が観察されますね­。

津波被害の経時的検証をする上で大変参考になると思います。

数ある津波動画の中でも、資料的に価値あるものではないかと思い­ます。

Theres a flash of that building at the end, (when the waters r at full hight) the roof is still out of the water (but getting battered by waves You couldn't cling on up there)

But more hopefully, there WAS about a foot of the top of the 2nd floor window showing, meaning inside that 2nd floor there'd be maybe 2ft of space btw the roof & waterline between waves. it's possible maybe one of them could've found a corner somwhere, clung on for dear life, held his breath a lot etc

6-7 min it's not like a wave...the sea actually rises and swamps the land in waters that rise to around 20ft...then 7-8mins .. that monstrous second wave comes in on the top of it, bringing open ocean "rough-seas" onto the buildings.

@tbee20101 they have lived there all their lives, these people are not stupid...for the most part. I think what has happened over the years they have had numerous tsunami warnings that haven't really hit like this one did. It's the "cry wolf" thing in practice.

You can bet one thing, though; the next earthquake that hits Japan you'll see people streaming for the high ground like never before.

Sadly, how many sat in their homes thinking, "It's going to be nothing, again."?

@tbee20101 I never really noticed before. You're right. At 07'10 onwards you can see two people move from right to left and then the 2nd wave hits. Good God. No way anybody could have survived. Knowing that this film takes on a whole new meaning.
