@mybluestrat But isn't that a tremolux speaker cabinet?
-
how many watts is this approx.?

@andrenalin1970 take in acount that youtube 's sound internal system compressor makes it a lot more than it should ,people all over the tube complain about the compression
-
people say bandmasters are bassmans with vibrato, I think they are similar, but they have not got the balls a bassman has, still nice amp tho, I want one, love my bassman, but want vibrato on the circuit, and a bandmaster is as close to a bassman tone as U are going to get

@junkman969 By the look of it, and Fender history, the speakers are probably Jensens. Magical speakers for the trad Fender clean. So rich and warm, yet clear articulation. Actually they are so brutally articulate they show up every minute musical mistake!!!!

this is what i call TONE!

Yup... this is the one. I was in a band with a guy that had one of these and I could not compete with his tone. Hollow, glassy, springy, round and super warm - the most ear-pleasing attack I have ever heard on a clean amp. There are others on youtube but this guy has the Bandmaster like the one that I experienced.
Big 6L6 power tubes huh... What kind of speakers were in this cabinet? ...if its not too late to ask. Very cool post!

love the sound
where does that compression come from? can't see a comp in the line.

@andrenalin1970
There are no pedals on this-Its direct into the banmaster. Its the magic of the AB763 cuircut and the big 6L6's. I feel that the backface bandmaster heads from 64-67 are the greatest.....bigtime sleepers IMO. Everyone seems to want a Super reverb!

I have owned a few of these through the years. One of the great things is that it was a pretty common amp and fairly easy finding parts-I say go for it if that is you thing!

Really nice tone.
are you using a compressor?

This was direct into the bandmaster jumped with the bright channel cranked about halfway with my Fender CS Custom Classic. Neck pickup then switched to Neck and Middle towards the end. No effects....can you believe I sold this the amp! I get a pretty cool tone with my Bassman RI LTD that I am happy with and maybe I will do a post.
Cheers!
