@SoutheastAsiaTravel thank you

@coyote2625 Hi, Coyote. Just a couple quick points. You said that Buddhists don't believe in deities. But, you just agreed that the Mahayana do. So, either you are denying the Mahayana are Buddhist, or you are contradicting yourself.
-
@SoutheastAsiaTravel ...The "deities" you named are all northern Mahayana beings. Amitaba was mentioned 9oo years after the Buddha and is in no way recognized by the original Buddhism of the southern school (Theravada). the other two are one and the same (bodhisattvas) avalokiteshvara IS Quan Yin in female form. The Buddha said the belief in a creator god was delusional and the worship of deities rather useless since none are enlightened.

@wisheyecould Things are fine in Cambodia for the most part now.

i am a Filipino and have sympathy to the people of cambodia, i pray that the flood may gone. i love you people, this flood shall pass. Long Live Cambodia.
-
If I arrive in Cambodia in 2 weeks.. will there still be flooding and other various things to expect?
-
@coyote2625 Flodding is natural in rainy season; earth needs water. Flood is good for short time; this is perfect. More rain is better than drought. I rather believe in lord Budha, Vishu, Shiva and lord Brahma than be a Christain. Atleast buddha believe in sin. I'm living in united states right now and i can see their character, believes, and moral are not the same. Lots of murder, violence and barbarian attitudes noted here.
I was in Siem Reap from 07/11/2011 - 12/11/2011.Saw the after effect of the flood
esp the road to Tonle Sap.Some roads in town were damaged too.

Hey sleepy head wake up !! OunStar don't worry about Siam Reap flooding,it's alway like that since i was a little boy.It's alway flooding around Siam Reap especially Srok Puork Province and Prey Jrouk province nearby.Find yourself a nice compfortable spot and go fishing.I'll be back home again soon,enjoy the flood and go swimming in the muddy puddle,i really enjoy swimming in the muddy puddle when i was a kid,it look like sht but it's home sweet home baby.I love Siam Reap !! ;))))))

@SithSereyPheap1 Unfortunately, not everyone in Siem Reap or Cambodia has been there since they were a boy . . . like the Englishman Kevin John Nunn who drown on his way home on September 23 in Siem Reap. Allison Brown, physiotherapist in Cambodia, also reported her friend being severely shocked in Siem Reap by a submerged power cable.

Um..there is NO great statue at Angkor Thom and never was. What an uninformed idiot. BTW, Buddhists do not have a deity, whose god are you talking about?
coyote2625 4 months ago
@coyote2625 Actually, most Buddhists have deities . . . Amitaba, Avalokiteshvara, Quan Yin . . .
