Senator Padilla on Need for Shaken Baby Prevention Program

SB 825 (Padilla) sponsored by the Prevent Child Abuse California, currently in the Assembly
Appropriations Committee, would establish a parent education program in hospitals throughout California
patterned after a successful program in New York State, where SBS cases were cut in half. Recently,
hospitals in Sacramento County have been using the program with similar results.
