Amanda makes every one of her songs completely different from another- but in this album, other than Bad Wine and Lemon Cake (which takes an artful category), this one stands out on its own level.
This song is so incredibly full of emotion. I love the piano, and how she's not bangingit, or hitting it: she's smacking it. It sounds like smacking. A dry, resentfully expressive cabaret piano sound. I love it so fucking much, it's perfect.
Loveeeee this song. It could be heaps better though. I can totally see it with a whole band with brass and truce-like strings and brian drumming. amanda please hurry with the whole dresden dolls hiatus thang.

love this song just like this. not every song needs to be tarted up and supported, some can just exist, simply, beautifully.

All of the songs are really passionately done with Amanda's standard spark, but they BEG to be gently produced.
