You know Luther had the Boom-Chicka-Boom? Well this is what Don had.

  • Excellent job! Really appreciate you putting these Don Rich lessons together.

  • @shane1880

To me it sounds like old time rock and roll. However rock and roll comes from blues and gospel in my view. (Sun Records)

  • man you should come play guitar for me in my band! lol move to austin!, TX!!

  • good vid ,that style has a lot of blues influence to it

  • I am dinnin' it "L" ... I am a huge Buck and Don fan. Love Telecasters!

  • that actually wasn't Don...that was James Burton

  • nice clanky Telecaster sound, Lerb! Don worked the hell out of that pentatonic box, for sure. It sounds simple, but trying to phrase it the way he did is the tough part.

  • Killer. Thanks for posting.

  • Greast job very helpfull. Keep it up.

  • I am a blues guitarist by trade (acoustic and electric), but I am a diehard fan of retro-country - especially Buck Owens. Would you consider doing a lesson for Buck's song "Open Up Your Heart?" I love that tune but am not sure exactly what Rich was doing on that tune.

Thanks for the great lessons. Simple stuff, but it sounded so great!
