Arirang Mass Games 2009, North Korea (mosaic zoom)

Get a close up of the amazing moving mosaic created by 20,000 students at the 2009 Arirang Mass Games at the May Day stadium in Pyongyang, North Korea.
In the 2nd minute the students raise their heads above the colour books waiting for the signal from the conductor to turn the page.

Apparently Kim Jong Il hates these things, and is rarely seen at them, even though they are put on in his honor! Much better to stay at home eating lobster with white truffle, and drinking rare Cognac, whilst your people eat grass and the bark of trees to survive.

All the effort that went into making this event could have been spent on a more useful endeavor...say farming to prevent the mass starvation so persistant in that country
