Oh my god. I have been wondering on and on about the name of this song. The first time I heard it, was on radio in vacation for about 10 years ago. I did never believe that a Simpsons episode (s2 e17) would give me the answer. Now I`m happy.

It is te best you just live the movie all over again and the scene in which the baby elephant walks . Thanks to the uploader

At 2:36 That's Ginny Mancini, Henry's wife. Some of this is from Wikipedia:
At the time of his death, Mancini was married to his wife of 43 years, singer Virginia "Ginny" O'Connor, with whom he had three children. They'd met while both were members of the Tex Beneke orchestra, just after World War II. Ginny was in the Mancini Chorus. His daughters Monica, and Felice as well as son Chris were in the chorus for 20 years I understand.

If you want the original soundtrack music I suggest you do not download the compressed MP3. Instead purchase the CD "Hatari" by Henry Mancini. This is available on RCA/BMG/Sony and will provide full quality. I have the LP and multiple CDs of this song. You might enjoy the movie "Hatari" available on DVD as well.
