They're pretty fast and a lot quicker than the old blowers - but it's true that you can touch the sides inside and catch germs. Of course, locking a stall also means contact :p

this thing do work, actually i used one in the movie theator yesterday and it was the best air dryer i have used. My hands was completely dry in 10 seconds.

This was in the Costco bathroom and it was amazing. Dried my hands in like 5 seconds.

@newguy33X well those that point down just suck up the bathroom air and blows it out
-
@newguy33X well if its raining outside they make umbrellas. These machines not only cut costs of operation but are very efficient compared to the old hand dryers. please don't be the guy with your pants off next to the sinks underneath the hand dryer. no one likes him. he makes thing awkward.

Has anyone ever measured the noise produced by these wretched machines? They are deafening. Dyson should be sued for damaging peoples' hearing.
At the end of the day you can't beat the machines you find in publics toilets in Germany which automatically dispense a length of towel when you put your hands up to them. That's it - the pinnacle of hand-dryers. Everything else is a waste of time, including all the nonsense "innovations" from Dyson.
-
@newguy33X Except that they generally suck for drying your actual hands.
-
Then why are you asking people on a video posting website?
-
so it works about 80% and the water drips on the floor.. well that sucks -.-'

@placidair That is not a stall. That is the whole restroom.

I absolutely hate this dryer. If you're not getting water drops shooting up towards your face you're playing "don't touch the sides" like the game "operation" for fear of the germs the many people have left from touching it before you. Dryers that point down are much better for hygeine and use (what if it's raining out and you want to dry your backpack, pants, shoe a bit?
