Produced and directed by Paul G. Sanderson III, "Happily Ever After? The Twentieth Century Struggles for Democracy," is a feature documentary chronicling American democracy during the twentieth century and ending with the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991. Narrated by Charlton Heston, Walter Cronkite and Barbara Walters, the film includes one-of-a-kind interviews with Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher and Lech Walesa filmed during the last days of Soviet Communism. The film premiered at Radio City Music Hall in the spring of 1992 with guest speakers Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev before embarking on a 16-city tour of the United Sates. It was broadcast in primetime by the Discovery Channel and was honored with a CINE Golden Eagle as well as a Bronze Plaque from the Columbus International Film Festival.
