21 students and from participating Round Square Schools from around the world leave their completed School in Prokeab village, Takeo province, Cambodia. Their school, named 'Brighter Beginnings' was built under the direction of Team Leaders David MacLellan and Sonia Christian.
The student group spent 3 weeks in Cambodia building this school and the perimeter schoolground fencing and gate, and provided a few hundred bicycles to area children, as well as 8 chicken businesses and a bicycle repair business to area families.
This 'Banyan Learning Tree' School ( http://banyanlearningtree.blogspot.com/ ) was funded and built by Round Square ( www.roundsquare.org ) . Project conducted by 'A Mine Free World Foundation' in Canada ( www.aminefreeworld.org ) in collaboration with 'Banyan Learning Tree'.
The School will begin classes February 2011, teaching English and basic sanitation classes. Teachers Socheat Chea and Phearom Noun are seen with area children waving goodbye to the Round Square student team.
