The single release had a 5-week stay on Billboards Hot 100 Chart, peaking at #26. It was the B-side to I Feel So Bad. It is available on Elvis in Hollywood, Elvis: The Other Sides-Worldwide Gold Award Hits, Out in Hollywood, Command Performances: The Essential 60s Masters II, Elvis Movies, Flaming Star-Wild in the Country-Follow That Dream soundtrack compilation, and the FTD Wild In the Country CD.

A rose grows wild in the country
A tree grows tall as the sky
The wind blows wild in the country
And part of the wild, wild country, am I
Wild, wild, like the deer and the dove
Wild and free is this land that I love

A dream grows wild in the country
A love grows tall as the sky
A heart beats wild in the country
And here with a dream in my heart
Part of the wild, wild country, am I
Part of the wild, wild country, am I

  • Great Movie, But Somebody i hate it...(Not this movie and all hes country movies)

Some Movies Are Only with Girls Girls Girls Girls...

I know that Elvis Cant Better!

But Wild in the Country is a Great Movie!

  • some people on Youtube have said Elvis cant sing 'high' ! They obviously dont know Elvis very well. This has always been one of my favourite Elvis songs, beautifull and beautiful voice from (in my opinion) the greatest singer ever.

  • This song really shows Elvis real true voice and vibrato that noone can touch.Elvis forever and ever.
