Barbosa-Lima Live "Tico Tico no fuba"

CarlosBarbosa-Lima's tasteful yet virtuostic control of the guitar has resulted in consistently delightful solo recitals that appeal to a wide audience. Thus far his releases have found him exploring the music of Antonio Carlos Jobim, George Gershwin, Scott Joplin, Luiz Bonfa, Cole Porter, Leonard Bernstein (songs from West Side Story) and a variety of lesser-known Brazilian composers. Barbosa-Lima will be performing in Honolulu, Hawaii, January 5th, 2008 Live at the rRed Elephant Cafe. Unique chance for The first Concert of the Year 2008.

Tico-tico is a native Brazilian sparrow and fuba is corn flour.

Anyone that has ground corn in rural Brazil (at least in southeastern Brazil) will know that tico-ticos will come to eat the flour in the ground.
