Serious? Your that dumb.. The original Jigsaw (John Kramer) Sick with cancer took on two apprentices. 1.Amanda Young who unfairly never gave her victims a chance to live. She made it so they all died anyway So after John died, His second apprentice well actually 1st if you watched 5. Agent Hoffman carried out his legacy but he needs to be tested to prove himself worthy of taking John's place.

one thing thats always been on my mind.. and its probably nothing. but
in the ending of the fourth movie, didn't he mention that in order to save his daughter, he going to have to play a game? then in saw 5 he just dies.. i feel like jigsaw told him to do something, and somehow it'll happen in saw 7 since "all loose ends will be answered" in it. o.o

the reason why the people want gordon back is becuase he is the most plausable accomplice. most of the clues point to him being one, (some more blatant than others). Yes, at the end of saw 6 we find out that Jill Tuck is an accomplice, but, some of the clues rule out her part in jigsaws legacy. Plus, if it were to be a new character that would be so lame.

In a podcast with writer Patrick Melton, he states that Dr. Gordon's fate will be answered, however would not elaborate further.
However, his fate will not be anticlimactic, according to the writer. It is possible that he may have been alive all along.
