IHS Global Insight published a 277 page study quantifying the opportunity for job creation and GDP growth in the United States. OMSA distilled that info into a 4-minute video. If President Obama and his regulators -- Interior Secretary Ken Salazar and BOEMRE director Michael Bromwich -- simply cleared the backlog of offshore drilling permits and exploration plans, the oil and gas industry could return to operations at historic norms. But today, that's not the case. The slow-pace of administrative approvals leaves exploration and development activities at a near standstill. Clear the bureaucratic gridlock and industry will create 230,000 jobs by 2012.
@twistedbrew you might want to realize it's a diagram, not a map.

@twistedbrew: Or he can put it there as a way to better illustrate the hose/pipeline illustration? It was seen as less as a geographically accurate location, but as a literal spigot on the wall. But sure whatever, focus on the trees and ignore the forest.

The Øbama Administration is fighting domestic oil production in the United States. Their tools are executive authority and cumbersome bureaucracy.

There is another solution, nullification & imminent domain by the States. The States can nullify anything the FedGov is doing that is unConstitutional, ie the EPA. The States also can claim back THEIR stolen lands (stolen because FDR's antiquities act was unConstitutional), since Art 1 Sec 8 Cl 17 or 18 I think, states that land can ONLY be purchased from the States with their approval and for what purpose it can ONLY be used.

It’s easy for intelligent people to understand this. Obama, Salazar, and their ilk have no comprehension of freedom, liberty, and opportunity.

You might wanna move the Gulf Of Mexico to the Right a thousand miles or so.

Makes too much sense. Will never happen under this administration. Pray someone like Gov. Perry gets elected and has someone like Palin as his Energy Sec.
