  • @rtgoodson > > I think it is going to determine lots of factors in his stay at Auburn, just like it does with any new coach. You really have to earn that spot, by winning first and then keeping the program on one level. That's a mouth full there! Tommy kind of done this, but give up somewhere. We will never know the true story, unless he writes a book. I think Auburn will be great this season. All the cards are in place for this to happen. With or without Gene, the talent is there. Time = Key

  • @JKM070 Chizik can recruit but recruiting means nothing if you can't translate that to performance on the field. To be honest, I wasn't impressed with him last season. Their only benefit was coming from Malzhan's offense, and, considering Auburn still maintained the majority of their players and scheme from the previous year, I'm curious as to how Chizik failed to have to a decent defense. All in all, I think Chizik is here for 2-3 years before being fired with Jay Jacobs.

  • @JKM070 Well, the Heisman really hasn't been going to the best players in the nation the past few years. To be honest, we all know that it has been going to the top player on the teams headed to the NC game. Honestly, I don't see how Ingram could have won the Heisman over McCoy or the Stanford RB (Blank on the name atm). One was considered to be the best RB in the nation, and the other was considered to be the best QB and Offensive player in the nation. So, how did Ingram win the hardware?

  • @rtgoodson > > Thank you ... I think we are seeing Power Plays in the Heisman choice. Glad to see Ingram got it and I will leave it at that ...

  • @rtgoodson >> I am not sure about that, but I so hope he is not a Shula, at all. I wouldn't wish that on any team. Mal Moore needs to be slapped every day, for being so stupid! You get what you pay for and he has missed since 1992. We will know what Chizik can do this season. He has the talent, but can he use it to Auburn's advantage? You are right and that is if he can't beat BAMA, he needs to pack his bags ... That was Tommy's ticket to staying in place, until the 36-0 ...

  • @JKM070 Great year for Alabama. Congrats on the title and I'm sure that Bama will repeat as NC. I'm a little annoyed that Ingram won the Heisman, but, then again, that trophy has been pure crap the past few years.

  • @JKM070 I couldn't agree more. Now we're in our Shula/Ron Zook years at Auburn. Gene "Suck A Dick" Chizik is a great recruiter, great DC, but a shitty head coach. Honestly, the only thing the program had going for them last year was Malzhan's offensive system. Outside that, the defense looked like crap and the overall players were horrible. I give him 2-3 more years before the powers to be are sick of losing the Iron Bowl, our other rivalry games, and finishing with average seasons.

  • @defdrumm > > One must not forget the National Championship :)

  • @JKM070 your welcome man, two in a row! holy shit

  • @defdrumm >> Bama beats us again and wins the National Championship ... End of a Great Story ... Thank you, defdrumm ... Roll Tide Roll ...
