This guy is right on the spot. I'm not a fan of Buck. I saw someone post that Summeral had the same monotone voice as Buck which is true. But it's more than the voice with Buck.

Joe Buck should not be featured so prominently on NFL broadcasts, he seemingly has no clue how to capture the emotion of an exciting moment. He's,.. in a word, "anticlimactic". Give me Gus Johnson anyday! watch?v=9fPamV6LsV8

As a Cardinals fan, I was a big fan of Joe Buck when he did local Cardinals games, but I've never liked him as a national announcer. Remember his call on Mark McGwire's 70th homerun? "IN TO LEFT FIELD!!...NUMBER 70!!!" When he was a local announcer and free to play by his own rules, a very witty and enthusiastic side of him would come out. I just think he's way out of his element on national broadcasts. He's quite good at being a homer, but I agree he's very dull on national broadcasts.
