I'm assuming perhaps Micky isn't actually of italian origin because according to this from wikipedia: George Dolenz (originally George Dolentz, born Jure Dolenc) (5 January 1908 – 8 February 1963) was an American film actor born in Trieste (**then** part of Austria-Hungary, now in Italy. The then indicates at the time of Micky's dad's birth, Trieste had been part of hungary not italy. And according to nndb's site, Micky was of yugoslavian descent on his dad's side.

Wikipedia states his dad was of slovenian descent, born in austria/hungary. Uncertain whether or not the region had been a part of italy when his dad was born which of course would indeed make Micky of italian descent (in part anyway). Interesting yet again that Micky's dad's surname isn't an italian one (Jure Dolenc).
