Open the Doors (a poem)

This is my first narration of a slide show. The poem is one I wrote a while ago. It started as a stream of consciousness exercise in my journal, then turned into a poem. It's about how I want to understand my otherkin side, but part of me is scared of what it might be. Sometimes it feels like a creature rising slowly up from the depths of my subconscious, and there's a gate or doors that keep it down there, maybe to protect my normal consciousness from that knowledge.

The doors shown in several of the slides are "The Gates of Hell", by Rodin.
