well i guess this just answered my curiosity, i was literally thinking 5 minutes ago, man, can you dbag a speedwing and exit an aircraft? if jimmy hall was dbagging paragliders years ago, i figured this would be doable. good job with this. im getting my first speedwing in a little over a month and im so stoked.
cheers on you brother!!!

Where do I buy an RDS system of something similar so I could hop and pop a Dudek zakospeed speedwing. Anyone else done it on that before?Cheers from new zealand

Awsome Mike, I really appreciate your advice! Ill be looking into this without a doubt! I can't wait to see you speed wing cut away to BASE deployment I read about on your blog!
Take care mate!

It's sorta already beging done i think :) look for it, some speedflyers just get up with an helicopter.
Thanks for that information Mick, its nice to get to speak to you! I heard that you didn't need a tso on the main but wanted to check with you first! How do you connect the d bag up to the bullet? Do you just pack it in the bag and then the bag gets pulled off the canopy so you have to retrieve it after? Also how many jumps would you do at terminal before retiring the bullet? Thanks so much! Would love to meet you if you are ever in the UK!

I use a standard RDS system, that is common with swooping. This way there is no connection to the wing, just to the slider, which is totally removable after deployment. There is no reason why you couldn't do 100 or more, the Bullets show no sign of any damage or significant wear.

Hey Mike, Are the bullets tso'd? Just wondering thats all!
Have you done any deployments at terminal d bagged?
blueskies96j 2 years ago
The Bullets are not TSO'd, but your main parachute does not have to be, only your container and reserve do. I have done many terminal free fall openings with the Bullet, no issues yet.

what size bullet? Ever have any nasty openings that put you into a fast spin? I've been thinking about d-bagging my 12m bullut from beneath a tandem ppg...thoughts?

I have used 6m up to 10m. D-bagging is much easier than the free fall deployment because of the lower speed. no way for the wing to spin without a toggle buried or a line over, both of which can be avoided by proper packing and control of the wing. be safeish. mike.
