Thanks for the helpful tip on freezing dough. The mixer looked like it was working hard for a while, but the dough looks good.

I have never had problems with freezing dough. Bread may be a different story, but for pizza, it doesn't. I'd try a test one day with it, if you have any extra dough, and see. I'm going to guess it's fine though, because many places sell frozen dough for bread, and it rises just fine. Good luck with your bread !

@FrostyTheBeerMan Thanks Frosty! I made some pizza dough lastnigh, by hand. I want a KA!! The dough was good! I put one ball of dough in the fridge..

@savgal1211 Glad it turned out well for you ! If you are looking for a KA in the future, make sure to check Costco ... they always have specials on the Kitchen Aid mixers... oh and make sure you get a model with the new dough hook, you don't want the older style "C" dough hook. I do believe though that all new KA models come with the spiral dough hook, but just make sure when buying. It's an expensive investment, but it will last you for a lifetime.

Hi there, I'm not sure what model I bought now, it was awhile ago. I bought it at Costco.
If - you buy the model with the new dough hook you will do ok. Just don't start making HUGE amounts of dough. Don't tax your motor too much, and only use what they say to in the book. I can make a batch of dough enough to make 3 good size pizzas, about 2 lbs of flour is the max I use.
