38 Degrees' Campaigns Director speaks about the 'End Child Poverty' Campaign.
THE END CHILD POVERTY CAMPAIGN
Even before the recession, there were 4 million children in the UK below the poverty line. Now, many families are falling deeper and deeper into poverty, as unemployment rises and working hours are reduced. Government must act now to ensure that we don't see increasing numbers of children growing up without the basic minimum that they need.

You can earn £15800 a year working & if you have 4 kids you get £206.45 a week child tax creds & £60.50 a week child allowance that's ontop of your £15800 earnings. I struggle to believe that poverty exists in the UK but believe that's poverty is down to poor parenting with a lack of basic skills.

The Gvmt r on about capping none working household benefits at £26000 yearly, that's £500 a week, no child is living in poverty due to the Gvmt, I blame the parents of some of the kids spending the £ on the wrong things. Every1 blames the Gvmt but no one blames the parents. Let's level some of the blame at poor parenting as that's what it's down to.
