Both steel and plastic. The metal ball and socket armature is exposed at the joints, the outer shell is plastic.

Thanks! I've very partial of FXHome products. Check out their website for details. They offer easy to use partical generation without the hassel of photoshop or AfterEffects. Not that AfterEffects isn't a good program, but infinitely more time consuming. Especially for someone like myself where I do everything myself. I need fast FX solutions to help me tell my stories. Anyway, thanks for your interest!
