This song is a masterpiece, lyrically and musically. The acoustic guitar is pure gold. Kozelek's voice is unreal. The song resonates like inside of a cathedral.

I think the lyrics to this song are near perfect. Incredible writing.

beautiful resonance, great band.

Is this about someone reflecting on a lost loved one who was.. hit by a car?
The only weird thing is the "I still feel the sting in my hand, when I hit you" - so is it abuse, or feeling the sting when he hit her with his car? Is that a metaphor? It
sorta ties in with the whole "and he's afraid to drive a car" in Strawberry Hill's lyrics.
I like to believe this song's about mourning a lost loved one anyway. has a very religious vibe to it, very heavenly, although I'm not religious.. lol :P

Seems like it should be snowing to this song..... kind of weird.

I would love to hear an Iron and Wine cover of this lovely song.

The lyrics kills me, so sad and honest.

Maybe the best from this album!
Beautiful song. The lyrics near the end are wonderful and heartfelt.

i can't tell you how much i love this song....it would have to be good to beat katy song for me but this does - just a heartbeat of feeling and honesty and so, so, so takes me back to times where i was so better able to feel the world in a much more creative way than now...
