Part-10: 3hp Briggs and Stratton engine overhaul (for mini dirt bike)

Part 10 of the rebuild series. More fun and games with the 1969 Briggs, of the carb variety. It won't run and I'm quite sure it is only the carb at fault, blocked jets and dirt etc.

Watcha. To clean carbs I use a cat litter plastic tray filled with parrafin. I leave the carb for 24 hours in soak then use a selection of paint brushes and pieces of wire to clean jets. To re-use the paraffin I tip it into a funnel which is lines with a cotton rag and back into a clean container. Mind you I have also knackered jets on carbs a s well. Good luck with your project.

oh no how did you break that so bad. I think a different carb would be better but knowing youtube or ebay there will be somebody out there that can turn you a new jet in a couple of hours.

that wasnt a jet it was an idol screw.it was suppose to hold the throttle open when running.
