that wasnt a jet it was an idol screw.it was suppose to hold the throttle open when running.

Watcha. To clean carbs I use a cat litter plastic tray filled with parrafin. I leave the carb for 24 hours in soak then use a selection of paint brushes and pieces of wire to clean jets. To re-use the paraffin I tip it into a funnel which is lines with a cotton rag and back into a clean container. Mind you I have also knackered jets on carbs a s well. Good luck with your project.

oh no how did you break that so bad. I think a different carb would be better but knowing youtube or ebay there will be somebody out there that can turn you a new jet in a couple of hours.

@gpzDave I will try get the genny looked at this weekend its at the back of my container and its a job just getting it to the doorway right now.
I will be making a video when I do get round to it..
