Eindelijk is het zover.
Laat de auto maar komen, ik koop er gelijk een.
Alle (hoge) heren die menen iets te mogen zeggen, laat deze mensen werken en maken en geef ze heel veel geld zodat eindelijk de aircars gemaakt kan worden.
De wereld is al aan het schudden van vervuiling wat moet er nog meer gebeuren om naar de natuur te luisteren.
Cyril en Guy ga zo door he ik steun jullie vanuit mijn hart en ziel.

@joakimveyron Still cheaper than a gasoline or electric car in the long run. Also if its environmental impact it many electric cars cause more harm in the processes of making them than they help to prevent. Since the air car is cheaper, cheaper to refuel, people shouldnt complain about how inefficient is.

KLM has been running a couple of AirPods around Schipol airport. The say that the range is about 15km. This is for a prototype with either an 80 liter, 200 bar tank or 84 liter, 248 bar tank.
MDI hopes to fit a larger tank into the production model.

@joakimveyron @joakimveyron 93kWh into the compressor to get 14.3kWh into the 300 bar tank is true for a single stage compressor. That's why nobody uses those.
A 4 stage 300 bar compressor runs about 55% efficient, requiring about 26kWhr of power to store 14kWhr of energy in the air tank.
Actually, the problem during expansion is the cooling of the air. This reduces the volume and wastes energy. The MDI AirPod has yet another problem --- MDI uses a pressure regulator to drop the 350 bar tank pressure down to 20 bar before sending it to the engine. This reduces the available energy to ln(20)/ln(350) ----- about 1/2 of the compressed energy is wasted.
0.55 compressor * 0.5 regulator * ? air motor = 28% max efficiency with a 100% efficient air motor.

mrlds are you unable to use google or read? The MDI air car has ONE published test. It went 5 miles WHEE!
