The United States Constitution is under attack, especially the 2nd amendment, which guarantees the right of the people to keep and bear arms. It is being trampled under the feet of tyrants in an effort to disarm the public so that they can rob, rape, pillage and plunder with little to no resistance; with the formation of a New World Order as their ultimate goal.
The things we see occurring in the United States today are very similar to Hitler and the Third Reich. After the elections of March 5, 1933, the Nazis began a systematic takeover of the state governments throughout Germany, ending a centuries old tradition of local political independence. Armed SA and SS thugs barged into local government offices using the state of emergency decree as a pretext to throw out legitimate office holders and replace them with Nazi Reich commissioners. Hitler had the Enabling Act which altered the constitution, today we have the Patriot Act which does exactly the same thing.
Political enemies were arrested by the thousands and put in hastily constructed holding pens. Old army barracks and abandoned factories were used as prisons. Once inside, prisoners were subjected to military style drills and harsh discipline. They were often beaten and sometimes even tortured to death. This was the very beginning of the Nazi concentration camp system. Today there are FEMA camps awaitng the arrival of political prisoners.
The concentration camps -- initially set up for political enemies of the Reich -- were first established in 1933 and became well known. Thousands of Germans (Jews and non-Jews) left Germany in very short order after Hitler's rise to power. These Germans could read the proverbial writing on the wall.
The problem was not that the Jews didn't know what was happening -- it was more that they did not want to believe it or act on it -- and then when it was staring them in the face, they mostly still tried to avoid the option of armed defense. First, we know that the Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto, when they finally turned to armed resistance, succeeded in holding off the Nazi war machine for nearly a month. These were civilians running an urban guerilla resistance -- using a relatively small number of guns and ammo smuggled in or taken from killed Nazis. Ghetto defenders damaged the Nazi effort -- and if that had been multiplied over the countryside, it would have meant more damage to the Nazis, and possibly a change in Nazi policy. The powers that be have a great understanding of history and they realize that they need to take the weapons out of the GHETTO in order to prevent the armed resistance to unpopular laws , injustice and oppression by the state.

You are only using the same scare tactics as the other side you are vilifying. New Orleans was in a bad spot after Katrina. There was already a problem with people in the streets with guns. This was a direct response to the existing problem, not one the police were creating.

First of all were you there? Secondly I do not have a problem with police, I do however believe that the constitution should be upheld at all times including our 2nd amendment right to bear arms regardless of the "problems" that exist. I would perfer to be pro-active in the defense of my family and my home instead of huddling in a corner waiting for the police to save me from the "bad" people on the street with guns. I have family members and friends that r police officers they r the people 2!
