That is the sound of an Egret. They are usually active with their night scream during colder nights and in the winter.

Two male raccoons fighting for dominance. I heard this a few times - once I got up and turned on the light - and caught two male raccoons mid-fight. They ran up a tree and kept fighting, then ran off.
